A long-time Peter Pan Bus Lines driver<\/span> has earned national recognition for his skills and lengthy safe driving record.
Phillandor<\/span> Knight based out of<\/span> the<\/span> Secaucus, NJ location for the<\/span> New York Division of<\/span> Peter Pan Bus Lines was selected from among numerous qualified nominees from across the<\/span> country as the<\/span> 2024 American Bus Association Motorcoach Driver<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> Year<\/span>. Knight is only the<\/span> fifth person to be recognized with this award, which was created to recognize driver<\/span>s who go above and beyond the<\/span>ir duties in service to the<\/span>ir company and fellow driver<\/span>s while providing safe travel to passengers across the<\/span> nation.

With over 2.1 million safe driving miles logged in his career, Phil is known not only for his considerable driving skills, but also for his exemplary customer service. Up to this point, he has safely transported over 600,000 passengers to the<\/span>ir destinations, and this count continues to grow. Starting each day with a smile, a positive demeanor, and impeccably dressed, Phillandor<\/span> consistently embodies the<\/span> qualities of<\/span> an exceptional motorcoach operator.

The<\/span> team at Peter Pan Bus Lines presented several deserving candidates for this award and the<\/span>re were several other considerably worthy candidates to choose from. Phil embodies Peter Pan\u2019s guiding motto \u201cPride in the<\/span> Ride\u201d. Internally, he is an advocate for our brand, leadership initiatives and our technology, including vocal support of<\/span> our ELD Driver<\/span> Scorecard, driver<\/span> monitoring systems and he is a well renowned driver<\/span> trainer.

Phillandor<\/span>‘s positive attitude and outstanding professionalism extend beyond his achievements to his role as a mentor for new driver<\/span>s embarking on the<\/span>ir careers at Peter Pan Bus Lines. Actively engaged in our driver<\/span> training program, Phil goes above and beyond to impart invaluable knowledge and skills to the<\/span> next generation of<\/span> motorcoach operators, truly going the<\/span> extra mile. His expertise surpasses the<\/span> miles traveled on the<\/span> road, establishing him as a reliable resource for new driver<\/span>s seeking guidance.

The<\/span> award was announced during the<\/span> opening general session of<\/span> the<\/span> Winter Meeting of<\/span> the<\/span> Bus Industry Safety Council, the<\/span> oldest and premier safety organization for the<\/span> motorcoach industry. The<\/span> event was held in conjunction with the<\/span> annual ABA Marketplace event on January 15, 2024 in Nashville, TN during the<\/span> largest gathering of<\/span> motorcoach operators in North America. Over the<\/span> course of<\/span> his career, Phil has earned several safe driving awards at Peter Pan Bus Lines, as well as winning recognition from the<\/span> National Safety Council for 2 million safe driving miles and 25 year<\/span>s of<\/span> accident-free driving.
