Traveling with Baggage<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]General Information<\/strong><\/p>\n

Peter Pan Bus Lines does not check bags over its routes. There is no liability towards Peter Pan for unchecked baggage and personal belongings.<\/p>\n

Customers should keep their personal belongings, especially valuables such as cell phones, tablets, laptops and medications in their possession at all times. Peter Pan Bus is not liable for any lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings. All baggage must be claimed promptly upon arrival.<\/p>\n

In general, acceptable baggage includes suitcases, duffel bags, toolboxes, trunks and securely tied cardboard boxes. A plastic and\/or a paper bag is not acceptable as suitable baggage.<\/p>\n

Tag Your Bag<\/strong><\/p>\n

All bags should have an identification tag on them containing your name, a contact phone number and your itinerary. Placing an identifier on your bag (a bright red scarf, a striped baggage strap etc\u2026) is a simple way to help you identify your bag.<\/p>\n

When retrieving your bag at your destination, please use care to make sure you retrieve the correct bag.<\/p>\n

Baggage Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please do not leave your bag unattended at any time when in the terminal or gate area \u2013 unattended baggage\/items may be confiscated by security for safety purposes.<\/p>\n

For safety purposes there are no locker or baggage storage facilities in terminals.<\/p>\n

Please refrain from placing your baggage under the bus baggage compartment without a company staff member present.<\/p>\n

Do not offer cash or any monetary gift to an employee for assistance with baggage. Any fee payment for excess baggage or oversized baggage would be made directly at the ticket counter or to an authorized employee at the gate area (in some terminals). Please report to us any individual who requested money for baggage assistance and was not able to display a company employee ID.<\/p>\n

Transferring Bags<\/strong><\/p>\n

Customers are responsible for transferring their own bag(s) from one coach to during a transfer.<\/p>\n

Baggage assistance is available upon request to drivers and terminal staff. Baggage assistance is offered from coach to coach during a transfer or from a ticketing counter to the gate (where staff is available). Special handling ID tags may be available at ticketing counters for customers who require assistance with their baggage.<\/p>\n

All bags are subject to search including at terminals and on buses.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text]Baggage Allowances<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each ticketed passenger is allowed 1 carry-on bag (up to 25 pounds) and 1 bag stowed under the bus FREE \u2026additional stowed bags (limited to 3) are $5.00 each.<\/p>\n

*Carry-on bags must fit in the overhead compartment or under your seat.*<\/p>\n

Children under two (2) years of age do not have baggage allowances.<\/p>\n

Baggage fees are as follows:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1st stowed bag is free (maximum 50 lbs).
2nd stowed bag will be charged $5.00 (maximum 50 lbs)
3rd stowed bag will be charged $5.00 (maximum 50 lbs)
4th stowed bag will be charged $5.00 (maximum 50 lbs)<\/p>\n

Baggage Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n

Baggage cannot exceed 62 inches when adding the total exterior dimensions of the piece (length + width + height).<\/p>\n

Bicycles (see below for more information on traveling with a bicycle), skis and ski poles must be packed in wood, canvas or other substantial container, and securely fastened; these items should not exceed fifty (50) pounds.<\/p>\n

Bicycles & other large items will be allowed given on a space availability basis.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”30″][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]BAGGAGE \/ PERSONAL BELONGINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Baggage<\/u>. Peter Pan will transport baggage on a Coach solely to the extent belonging to a passenger who has purchased a ticket and is travelling on the same Coach as the baggage.  Each Passenger is permitted to bring one (1) carry-on bag on a Coach with small Personal Belongings (up to 25 lbs) and to stow one (1) standard-shaped baggage item underneath a Coach (\u201cPermitted Baggage\u201d) at no additional charge. Any additional baggage or other Personal Belongings will be subject to fees (\u201cAdditional Baggage Fees\u201d) and are limited to three (3) additional items, subject to space availability on the Coach. Carry-on bags must fit in the overhead compartment or under a seat, and all baggage must adhere to the requirements herein and as otherwise communicated by Peter Pan to passengers at any time, including but not limited to size and shape restrictions and\/or storage limitations on a Coach. Any child passenger under two (2) years of age does not have a baggage allowance. Passengers must stow and transfer their own baggage as Peter Pan and its staff and operators do not check baggage or provide receipts for baggage. Passengers requiring special assistance with baggage must speak with Peter Pan staff or the bus operator to make necessary arrangements.<\/p>\n

Passenger Responsibilities<\/u>. Peter Pan is not responsible for, and assumes no liability for, any baggage, personal property, and other belongings, or the contents thereof (\u201cPassenger Belongings\u201d) carried on a Coach by a passenger or stowed by passengers in the baggage compartments of the Coach. Passengers are expected to keep their Passenger Belongings, especially valuables such as cell phones, tablets, and laptops in their possession at all times while travelling. All Passenger Belongings stowed in Coach baggage compartments must be retrieved by Passengers promptly upon arrival at the destination terminal, and passengers are responsible for transferring their baggage to another bus during a transfer, if applicable. Peter Pan recommends that passengers refrain from stowing or bringing anything of value on the Coach.  Please also note certain items are not accepted for carriage as explained in the Prohibited Items section below.<\/p>\n

Lost and Found Policy<\/u>. Peter Pan is not responsible for any Passenger Belongings left on the Coach, in any terminal, or on a charter stay. Passengers shall be responsible for removing and maintaining control of his\/her own Passenger Belongings at all times. If we are able to find an item left behind, Peter Pan will make commercially reasonable efforts to either store and make the item available to the passenger for pick-up at one of its major hub terminals, or ship it to the passenger at the passenger\u2019s expense upon request. Any unclaimed Personal Belongings will be held for a maximum of 14 days at which time Peter Pan reserves the right to dispose of or donate the item(s) to a local charity in the discretion of Peter Pan.<\/p>\n

Important Disclaimers<\/u><\/strong>. Peter Pan and its staff and operators are not responsible for the safe and secure transport of baggage over any routes or transfers. Peter Pan expressly disclaims liability on behalf of itself and its staff and operators for any lost, stolen, or damaged baggage or other Personal Belongings, and for any injuries to a passenger or passengers caused by or resulting from the falling or shifting of baggage while in transit. Additionally, Peter Pan is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims liability for, passengers traveling outside of Peter Pan\u2019s service network, connecting to\/from other carriers, or if checking baggage for transportation over the lines of other carriers, subject to any responsibility as may be imposed on Peter Pan by law or by its agreements with other carriers with respect to baggage of those passengers.<\/p>\n
